Heavy Vehicle/Light Vehicle Separation Project – Saraji Mine

In 2015, the TMM Group was successful in winning phase 1 of the Saraji HV/LV Separation Project at BMA’s Saraji Mine. This project is aimed at reducing Heavy Vehicle and Light Vehicle interactions by taking light and medium vehicles off the Haul Roads.

The project involved the construction of 22km of new LV access roads, the upgrade of 15km of existing LV roads and the realignment of 4.2km of public roads. Also included in the project is two multi-plate arch crossings of the public road to keep mining and public traffic separate.

TMM were awarded Phase 2 works for this project which includes the LV/HV separation of the southern pits.
